Introducing Savannah Boddy. Owning her own dance studio had always been a big and lofty goal of Savannah's that slowly started to become a reality right before her eyes. Walking away from an established teaching career with the TDSB, Savannah has been working hard to diligently refine her own 'business baby' - Propel Dance School into one that embodies body positivity, gender inclusiveness and community focus. We had a chance to catch up with this complete boss lady earlier this month and was able to chat a bit more about her style, why she loves the clean beauty movement and what advice she has for parents of young dancers. The Business of Style: Savannah loves that casual chic look and appreciates the comfort of cozy sweaters (her current favourite is the Tayen Engineered Stitches V-Neck Sweater by Velvet) along side her favourite denim. While she is navigating the challenges of being her own boss (the workload can be all consuming), she makes an effort to start her morning routine with coffee and meditation!
Savannah loves getting to know the families who choose her dance school as a place for their children to practice their skills and build their confidence. For those who are looking for advice when selecting a dance school, she would encourage you to make sure whatever dance school you choose shares values similar to yours. She is proud to call Toronto home and is happy to share her favourite spot: navigating the brickworks ravine trails with her husband and dog, followed by a bite on the patio at their awesome restaurant! Savannah is sporting the new Embroidered Yoke Gauze Blouse by Velvet, the Vicki Waxed Leggings and the Edie Hoops Silver by Jenny Bird.
